A Note from Eric and Mandy...

Hi—we’re Eric and Mandy, and we’ve been on just about every “diet rollercoaster” you can imagine. Between us, we’ve tried it all:\

Weight Watchers, Noom, Whole30, intermittent fasting, calorie counting…you name it. And while some of those worked in the short term, none of them were sustainable. They were too restrictive, too complicated, or just plain joyless.

Eric’s a chef with a passion for fresh, sustainable food, and Mandy’s a marathon runner and nutrition enthusiast. Together, we’ve learned—through years of trial and error—that the secret isn’t another plan, app, or quick fix.

It’s building habits you actually enjoy and can stick with long term.

That’s what this space is about. Not rules. Not “perfect eating.” Not cutting out joy. Just real, everyday strategies to help you eat well, feel good, and live the life you want.

So instead of chasing another quick fix, we decided to rethink everything. Over the past several years, we’ve slowly built healthier habits—layer by layer—that have helped us lose weight, keep it off, improve our energy, and actually enjoy food again.

We crave real, nourishing meals now (though yes, we still indulge). These changes have become part of who we are—not a diet to follow, but a lifestyle we live.

And that’s what we want to share with you.

Why Journeys, Not Diets?

We call them Journeys because that’s exactly what this is: a path, not a program. You won’t lose 10 pounds in a week. This isn’t a 30-day challenge. And we’re not going to ask you to count calories, points, or macros.

Instead, you’ll move through 8 Journeys—each focused on one change you can make to eat better, feel better, and strengthen your relationship with food. You’ll take your time, practicing each new habit until it feels natural before moving on to the next. For some, that may mean two weeks. For others, two months or more. There’s no rush.

The goal is to help you master habits that last—not another diet you’ll quit when life gets hard.

What to Expect

Each Journey will explain what the change is and why it matters—and then walk you through the following sections:

  • What to Add – We start with the good stuff. What new foods, habits, or practices can you bring into your life?

  • 🔁 What to Reduce or Eliminate – Where can we lighten the load and cut back on what doesn’t serve your health?

  • 🍳 Recipe Inspirations – Quick, flexible ideas for building meals. (No full recipes—because there are a million recipe blogs already. We’re here to help you learn how to “fish,” not just hand you a fish.)

  • 🧠 Education + Mindset – Why this change matters, how it affects your body, and how to tune into your own signals.

  • 🚫 No Excuses – We’ll tackle the most common reasons people give for not making a change—like “I don’t have time,” “I’m not a good cook,” or “healthy food is too expensive”—and help you find simple, realistic ways around them.

  • 🌤️ Bounce-Back Messaging – Because setbacks will happen. You’ll “mess up.” That’s life. We’ll help you learn how to “be a goldfish” and move on.

  • 🕰️ Take Your Time Reminder – This isn’t about a goal weight or deadline. It’s about progress at your own pace.

The Big Picture

By the end of these Journeys, you’ll:

  • Know how to build meals that nourish you (without relying on a plan or app).

  • Trust yourself to make food decisions that support your goals.

  • Crave whole foods more often than processed ones.

  • Have a healthier relationship with food and your body—without all the stress and guilt.

This isn’t about a quick fix. It’s about changing how you eat, one habit at a time, until it’s just part of who you are.

✨ Ready? Let’s start with Journey 1: Cooking at Home.

New Journeys will be released every 2-3 weeks, giving you plenty of time to master one before the next is live.
